Una pyme checa especializada en desarrollo de aplicaciones para la industria alimentaria y procesamiento de tecnologías alimentarias ha desarrollado una tecnología vanguardista para secar con cuidado materiales biológicos y termolábiles. Las ventajas incluyen las bajas temperaturas de secado y el consumo reducido. El nuevo dispositivo combina producción de micro/nanopartículas mediante tecnología centrífuga de micro/nanomateriales con tecnologías que utilizan CO2 supercrítico. La tecnología de secado por nebulización, denominada CASND, permite producir materiales en estado nativo con una conservación máxima de las actividades biológicas o de otras propiedades de los materiales originales. The SME is looking for industrial partners from food, cosmetic or pharma industry for the installation customized for the particular industry application based on a commercial agreement with technical assistance or technical cooperation.
Description:
The Czech SME has developed novel technology for gentle drying of biological and thermolabile materials.

The new device combines micro/nanoparticle production by centrifugal micro/nanomaterial technology with technologies using supercritical CO2. The spray nebulization drying technology (called CASND) allows materials to be produced in native state with maximum conservation of biological activities or other original material properties. This allows utilization of low drying temperatures and reaching new characteristic of micronized materials.

In comparison with machines produced by the competitors, the technology consumes less energy when compared to freeze drying and uses much lower drying temperatures when compared to conventional spray drying. The new technology can be utilized in the food, cosmetic or pharmaceutical industry.

In the case of commercial agreement with technical assistance, the SME will provide customized turn-key solution within the specific customer´s environment including the staff training and service.

Further development based on a technical cooperation agreement to adapt the technology for drying specific materials as mentioned above based e.g. on a European research project (Horizon 2020, Eureka etc.) is another cooperation option.
