Un inventor checo ha desarrollado una tecnología de producción de pellets a partir de hulla y lignito que se emplean como combustible en diferentes tipos de calderas de pellets y carbón o en grandes calderas en la industria energética. La tecnología permite producir pellets a partir de polvo de carbón, aumentando el valor energético del material. Los pellets son duraderos y su estructura no se modifica incluso después de cuatro años de almacenamiento en condiciones normales. El inventor busca un productor de pellets de madera o una compañía carbonífera con el fin de comenzar la producción en masa del combustible bajo acuerdos de licencia.

Summary:
Czech inventor developed a technology for production of coal pellets from black or brown coal, useable as fuel in deferent types of coal and pellet boilers. The technology enables to produce pellets from the coal dust and thus increase the energy value of the material. Inventor is looking for a license partner capable to start a mass production of the fuel.
Description:
For ages, coal dust has been burnt on fluid torches with certain energetic gain. A Czech inventor has been searching for a better way of exploitation of the coal dust - that would overcome current energetic gain.

Finally, she have found a way - it is a powdered mixture of starch water and other additives that is pressed into common pellet´s shape, having 6, 8, 10 or 12 mm diameter.

Pressing of the coal pellets can be realized on the machines used for wood pellets. Final product can be used in the common types of household coal boilers (and some pellet boilers) or in large boilers in energy industry where standardized coal fuels of the same dimension are used.

Executed test show that current energy value of the coal dust 18MJ/kg can be increased by the technology up to 24MJ/kg.

Advantages and Innovations:
- by pelletizing is the energy value of the coal dust increased from 18 MJ / kg to 24 MJ / kg

- pellets are durable and do not change their structure even after 4 years of storage under normal conditions

- due to stirring of the base material the pellets makes a homogeneous fuel with constant technical parameters, this is especially advantageous for boilers with automatic unit fuel dispensing

- coal pellets can be produced on standard machines for wood pellets
