A knowledge-intensive Spanish university spin off, active in the field of agro-biotech, has developed a solution which allows for the rapid growth of certain crops. The invention enables the acceleration of the growth and/or yield increase in crops by using certain agrobiochemical products and as such, the product would be of particular interest to the agrochemical manufacturing industry.

The developer has a solid (academic) scientific background based on broad knowledge of plant and bacterial carbohydrate metabolism at both the physiological, biochemical and molecular level. The company has been able to develop methods for the obtaining of biotech crops with new quality traits like for example increased starch production and/or starch with different structural characteristics, which can be of interest for those industries using starch as raw material (biofuels, biomaterials, paper or cosmetics producers), and holds a substantial patent portfolio of technological developments on the agrobiotechnology field.
