Description:
A Dutch SME offers an energy efficient air conditioning system for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The technology consists of two technological innovations: dew-point evaporative cooling and a dehumidification block (intended for humid climates). Dew-point evaporative cooling is a method of using water as a cooling medium to cool the air to its dew-point temperature, which significantly exceeds the maximum cooling potential of the analogous technologies. By diverting a portion of the main airflow in a counterflow fashion into wet auxiliary channels of a heat-and-mass exchanger, it increases the cooling potential of the process. For humid climates, the company has developed an additional dehumidification block, which uses a solid, toxic-free desiccant to adsorb moisture from the working airflow. By dehumidifying the air first, it can further increase the cooling potential while utilising the recovered water for the adiabatic cooling process. This technology can use low-grade solar heat to cool the air. Both technological methods are novel and covered by patent.

The product is designed to be offered in small, medium and large modules and scalable to handle any cooling demands. The technology consumes up to 90% less electrical energy of traditional air conditioning systems at a fraction of the installation cost. The product is designed for worldwide distribution and is perfectly suited for European, Australian and US markets.
