Una empresa italiana que trabaja en el campo de energías verdes ha desarrollado una nueva estructura para alumbrado público que permite generar electricidad mediante módulos fotovoltaicos y sensores piezoeléctricos para iluminar calles, cargar vehículos eléctricos y realizar otras actividades, como almacenamiento de big data, noticias de tráfico, etc. La electricidad se obtiene a partir de la luz solar y del tráfico urbano. El sistema piezoeléctrico utiliza sensores que aprovechan el tránsito de vehículos de motor para generar electricidad. El sistema es compatible con cualquier equipo de alumbrado público y tecnología fotovoltaica, desde sistemas clásicos hasta células solares luminiscentes, y también es compatible con células fotovoltaicas de polímero. La empresa busca socios con el fin de establecer acuerdos de licencia.

An Italian company working in green energy field, has developed a new cover for the street lighting, that allows to generate electricity by photovoltaic modules and piezoelectric sensors, to light streets, charge electric vehicles and also to do other activities, like storage of big data, traffic news and so on.
The company is looking for enterprise in order to sign a license agreement.
Description:
The company, based in Italy since 2007, works in renewable energy, accumulating over 10 years of experience in the field. In particular, they are specialized in the design and realization of energy systems, such as:

· photovoltaic
· eolic
· cogeneration
· green building

In the 2010, they have got the first granted patent about photovoltaic energy, while in the last year they have patented another ideas, that could revolutionize the street lighting.
The main goal of this project is to generate electricity by photovoltaic modules and piezoelectric sensors. In a nutshell, the electricity is obtained both by the sunlight and the urban traffic. In fact, in the second case, the piezoelectric system utilizes sensors that can exploit the transit of motor vehicles to generate electricity.
The system consists in a revamping both aesthetic and technique, compatible with all kinds of street lamp and with all photovoltaic technologies, from the classic systems to luminescent solar cell, up to luminescent downshifting. The technology is also compatible with polymeric photovoltaics with organic and inorganic films, able to exploit also the artificial light.
Anyway the kit could be printed in a different way, according to the type of technology chosen and to the exposure of the street lamp, excluding photovoltaics in shady areas.
In the lower part of the coating there are:

· a charging system capable of providing up to five vehicles at the same time
· an accumulation battery
· a display to access information and to pay for the services provided

Finally, a speed bump, covered by an amorphous flexible photovoltaic module, could be installed in order to utilize both the pressure on a piezoelectric sensor, due to the urban traffic, and the light sun. The electricity generated in these two ways, is transferred to the battery.
The enterprise is seeking for companies or industries interested in a license agreement.
Advantages and Innovations:
The main goal of this project is the obtaining of electricity by photovoltaic modules and piezoelectric sensors.
The diffusion of this structure can generate several advantages, like:

· greater diffusion of charging system
· utilization of both sun light energy and transit motor vehicles
· collection of data about traffic, air pollution and so on
· Wi-Fi point
· energy transfer from loaded streetlights to discharged street lamps
· ticket payment for parking
· possibility of installing security cameras
· mapping system
· possibility to sell the electricity surplus
· touch screen display, that could be utilized for several aims, such as payment services, mapping system or to screen advertising, when it is in standby

The traditional revamping of street lighting focused only on the utilization of sunlight through photovoltaic modules. This system, instead, is bigger, enclosing also all the other aspects aforementioned.
