The centre is looking for partners from industry and research active in the field of the environment for commercial agreement with technical assistance.
Description:
The German Institution is one of the world´s leading research centres in the field of environmental research, enjoying high social recognition. It demonstrates ways in which a sustainable use of our natural resource base is possible for the benefit of both mankind and the environment. The German centre for environmental research has developed a process to remove dissolved gases and gases in the form of bubbles from surface water (e.g. methane).
The process is based on the controlled technical conversion of the degassing mechanism of a dissolved gas exceeding the saturation concentration. A moveable system of tubes, gas separators and turbines is lowered into surface water from a mobile processing platform.
The turbines start the process by sucking water into the pipe system. Gas bubbles are created in the rising water that cause the water-gas mixture to be less dense than the water outside of the pipe system. This creates buoyancy and water is pushed into the pipe system independently where it degasses spontaneously.
The institution is looking for partners from industry or research active in the field of environment for commercialisation under commercial agreement with technical assistance.
