Se trata de un motor eléctrico que, acoplado al sistema de propulsión, se convierte en el primer sistema de propulsión híbrido desarrollado para aviación deportiva. El sistema dota de más potencia al motor de combustión para realizar despegues cortos y consta de un motor eléctrico conectado al motor de combustión, una batería de litio de alta eficiencia, un sistema electrónico que extrae energía de la batería y un cargador de batería que funciona durante el vuelo. It delivers extra power to the combustion engine for short take-offs, high rates climbing or compensation of the engine loss power in high temperature conditions or engine fail. The company is looking for commercial agreements with technical assistance.
Description:
Nowadays, aviation safety is a big concern, happening many accidents due to loss of power during flight when the engine fails or the fuel runs out. Because of that, the technology developed by the Spanish company aims to improve the safety of light and light-sport aircrafts. It turns a regular aircraft combustion system into a hybrid one by adding an electric motor to the propulsion system, providing extra power and range in emergencies.

The system is formed by the following elements:
-Electric engine that is connected to the conventional combustion engine.
-High-efficiency lithium battery
-An electronic system that draws energy from the battery and adapts it to the needs of the plane.
-Battery charger that operates during the flight


Main features are the following:

-The electric engine is connected to the propeller but outside the engine compartment.
-It can be mounted in aircrafts under 750 kg.
-The system is commercialised in a kit and can be mounted in any aircraft with the Rotax 912 and 914 combustion engines installed (most of the lightweight aircrafts are equipped with this kind of engines). Nevertheless, it can be adapted to other models of aircraft motors if requested.
-The pilot can activate it when needed, adding up to 40 horsepower for take-off or whatever is needed.

The company is looking for international partners within the lightweight aviation industry willing to cooperate under commercial agreement with technical assistance.

Advantages and Innovations:
-Safety: If there is a problem with the main engine, the pilot can activate the System providing around 7 minutes/ 20 km to land in a safe place or return to the aerodrome.

-When parking or approaching the airport, the system saves fuel and engine maintenance as it is the electric motor of the system that moves the aircraft.

-It decreases the plane take-off distance from 200 meters to 145 meters.

-It compensates the engine loss power in high temperature conditions.
