The proposed technology enables producing a gypsum hardening retarder with the setting-time retard for over 3 hours, the concrete hardening accelerator with the initial setting time from 3 hours, the concrete mixture flowability being preserved during 2 hours.

Description:
Known chemical additives, used as the hardening accelerators or retarders for concrete and gypsum binders, are mainly related to the class of inorganic salts and high-molecular weight compounds. The offered technology is based on the previously investigated methods of synthesis and technology process for producing the derivatives of diphosphonic acids with the predefined properties and the time for the concrete and gypsum solutions setting.
The company has conducted research that showed that synthesized diphosphoric acid derivatives have an extremely high degree of impact on the hydrating process in the course of the concrete solution's hardening. Thus, it is possible to control the setting time of concrete and gypsum solutions by dosing the loaded component.
There is a possibility to optimize the composition of complex additives not only as hardening regulator, but also to produce new materials with predetermined properties. The optimization of the composition of complex additives requires further research. Due to the composition's complexity, it is also necessary to determine experimentally the manner, in which the properties of complex additives are changed when they are stored for several years.


Current and Potential Domain of Application: The technology can be used in the chemical and construction industries, particularly in gypsum and concrete production, solid-cast housing construction. Newly developed additives make possible to produce high-quality materials at minimum cost.

Advantages and Innovations:

The innovation of the technology is that the proposed additives are formed as compositions based on water-soluble organophosphorous compounds. There is no analogous structure among the known additives. Synergetic effects often happen, when phosphoric acid is used with other additives of inorganic and organic bases and salts. Though using additives with superplasticizers, a strong concrete can be produced.
