Una universidad rusa ha desarrollado una tecnología para la evaluación rápida del nivel de conocimiento de un idioma extranjero. Esta tecnología ofrece como principales ventajas la rapidez (la evaluación se realiza en 3-5 minutos) y la objetividad (análisis objetivo de los datos fisiológicos de una persona concreta). El método se basa en datos objetivos del componente inconsciente de la actividad cognitiva humana: los movimientos de los ojos al buscar información en el texto. La decisión del nivel de conocimiento de un idioma extranjero se realiza comparando las características de amplitud-tiempo de los movimientos de los ojos al leer en diferentes idiomas. La universidad busca socios con el fin de establecer acuerdos de cooperación en materia de investigación.

At the moment, there is a problem of optimization and objectification of a rapid assessment of the level of knowledge of a foreign language in various organizations.
The traditional way is to assess the level by testing, which is: a) is carried out for 2-3 hours, b) does not guarantee the independence of the responses of the test, c) does not exclude the possibility of accidental contact with the correct answer, g) expensive.
Scientists of the Russian University have developed a technology EyeTech, used for rapid assessment of the level of knowledge of a foreign language. It offers a fundamentally different way of assessing the level of foreign language skills by analyzing eye movements during working with the texts in different languages. This method is based on objective data of unconscious component of human cognitive activity - eye movements when searching for information in the text. It is not possible to "cheat" this type of assessment because EyeTech analyzes eye movements not only when working with text in a foreign language, but also when working with text in native language. The decision on the level of knowledge of a foreign language is carried out by comparing the amplitude-time characteristics of eye movements while reading in different languages. This is the principal novelty of the approach. Once people read the text and perform one task the tables from the device (Eye Tracker) are sent to the platform EyeTech and instantly processed. Then a user sees an opinion on the level of foreign language skills. The data is stored on the server. Excretion reports, statistical processing are possible, depending on the wishes of a particular client. University specialists are ready to modify the platform EyeTech under the wishes of a particular partner.
Possible applications of the technology: 1) the scope of recruitment: a) the selection of candidates for the job / testing of existing staff; b) selection of volunteers at public events (Olympic Games, World Championships, etc.); c) preselection of the thousands of candidates; 2) the field of education: a) universities (eg, monitoring the level of knowledge of the Russian language for foreign students); b) language schools; c) school; 3) the scope of diplomacy (eg, rapid testing of knowledge of the language of migrants or people traveling on probation).
The conditions to carry out testing with EyeTech include: 1) installation of the device Eye tracker; 2) training of specialist the basics of the instrument; 3) Internet access.

University needs a partner for the research cooperation, where will be the scaling of the technology (evaluation of different languages of the world, the assessment of professional competence). That can be a university, research center, language center. All terms of the cooperation will be discussed after the first contact with potential partner.
