Description:
Available technologies for producing food fiber have a number of serious drawbacks: a high energy consumption and application of expensive chemicals. The proposed technology for the food fiber and cellulose production from recycling of beet pulp uses a new method of impact over the raw materials. The composition of low-cost reagents was developed for the pulping and bleaching stages, which makes possible to increase the water-retaining capacity of the food fiber as compared to current analogues (straw and potatoes food fibers).
The main point of the technology is the implementation of counterflow of solid (raw material) and liquid (cooking liquor) phases at the washing and bleaching stages, using mixing devices, which combine the raw material mixing and movement, in order to intensify the basic technological processes.
