A Dutch company specialized in design and realisation of biogas upgrading systems for anaerobic digestion processes. The company´s core experience is in operating biogas upgrading systems which can upgrade biogas into bio-methane and 100% food grade quality CO2.
The biogas can come from several sources: anaerobic digestion processes in water treatment, mono digestion, manure and vegetable waste digestion.
All the biogas upgrading systems are configured for an energy efficient production of high quality gasses by using high efficiency equipment.
A total system consists of the 1) biogas entry part, 2) the biogas compression and membrane separation part and 3) the CO2 recovery system.
Together these systems provide the total solution to upgrade biogas.

1. The biogas entry part consists of a biogas water scrubber, fan blower and activated carbon filter. The activated carbon filter is developed together with a Dutch leading activated carbon manufacturer. Therefore the company is able to clean all known impurities in biogas and ensure the correct quality for bio-methane.

2. The biogas compression and membrane system is used to compress the biogas and pass it through to specially selected membranes. The membranes are scientifically developed to the most efficient levels of operation through the know how generated over recent years. The biogas upgrading system is able to select the most cost efficient operation for every inlet specification (50% CH4 - 80%CH4) and outlet specification (Dutch low caloric gas CH4 90%, UK specification CH4 > 97%, liquefied biogas (LBG) specification CH4 >99% etc.).

3. The CO2 recovery part which is applied in designs and solutions for CO2 recovery systems. The CO2 that is produced in the recovery installation reaches food grade quality as set by the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT) and therefore could be sold to the beverage industry, green houses and for food freezing applications. The CO2 recovery installation has one other significant advantage, it can increase the methane yield to 100%.

The customer can choose from three different biogas upgrading systems:
· Standard system which uses membranes to upgrade biogas into biomethane and reduces the methane slip to almost zero without the possibility to recover CO2.
· Advanced system which uses membrane and cryogenic technology to enable customers to produce biomethane without any methane slip. The methane yield of this system is 100% which prevents methane from entering the atmosphere. Furthermore, this system will use the CO2 to reduce energy consumption during the cooling process and expels 100% of the gaseous CO2 into the atmosphere.
· Advanced plus system which uses membrane and cryogenic technology similar to the advanced system and upgrades the biogas into CH4 with 0% methane slip. The main difference between the advanced system and the advanced plus system is that the latter will not purge any CO2 into the atmosphere. Instead the CO2 will be liquefied and stored in CO2 storage tanks and can be used as an additional value stream (food grade quality CO2).
The company is offering a commercial agreement with technical assistance.

The company is looking for partners that have an extensive and relevant network in the field of biogas treatment. These partners should be able to line up relevant parties and suitable clients within the biogas to natural gas cycle, in order to start up new projects.
Support and trainings will be provided for all partners.

These partners need to have an extensive energy related network and should have a clear vision on future developments with respect to energy demand and transitions towards a more sustainable energy supply system, in which the gas treatment technology necessarily should be applied.

The partner should be capable to line up all the relevant parties and suitable clients within the biogas to natural gas cycle, in order to start up new projects by implementing the developed gas treatment technology.
Trainings will be provided for all partners.
