La tecnología consiste en una máquina especial compuesta por una excavadora equipada con una cuchara cribadora que recoge el material excavado y lo mezcla con el aglutinante en el interior de un tanque hasta obtener una mezcla homogénea lista para usar. Se trata de una tecnología muy fácil de usar y totalmente automática gracias al software especial que calcula la cantidad de aglutinante requerido para estabilizar el material. La cuchara cribadora también está patentada y puede emplearse además para limpiar el suelo excavado y eliminar otros materiales. La empresa busca fabricantes de excavadoras interesados en adquirir la tecnología bajo licencia de patente.

Description:
Trying to reduce time and number of processes during the excavation of soil and its subsequent closure, an Italian company has developed and patented a system able to stabilize soils coming from excavations and makes them ready to be re-used on the spot. The special machine developed using such a method is composed of three elements: an excavator equipped with a screening bucket, a tank and a software to control the injection of binder. The process has several steps: first the soil is gathered inside the bucket, then it is mixed to binders and then, in just one operation, it is compacted to the right degree and stabilized. This technology is very user-friendly, because it is completely automatic thanks to a special software that calculates the quantity of binder required to stabilize the material. The screening bucket is also patented and can also be used to clean excavated soil from other materials. This system can be applied to any kind of excavators or loading buckets. The dimensions of the bucket and the machine to which the system is applied can vary according to specific exigencies (for example working on limited areas). The special machine could be industrialised and proposed to the market; companies producing excavators and interested to produce and sell this special machine are sought for patent licensing agreements.
Advantages and Innovations:
This technology has several application fields: laying and underground laying of pipelines, stabilization of underpinning, consolidation of slopes and embankments, and any situation requiring more stabilized soils. Another field of application is the reclaiming of polluted soils through the mixture with binders. The stabilization of soils on which roads, airports and railways are built by adding binding materials directly to them is a largely used technique, but when it is necessary to work on limited areas or to treat heaps of excavated soil, not a surface, it cannot be used. The described technique, on the contrary, is the only existing process that allows faster and more efficient results with limited costs (compared to traditional procedures). Other advantages are the following: no transport of excavated soil to dumps, and consequently less traffic on roads and less pollution, fewer costs, excellent results.
