Description:
Surfaces on metal products that are exposed to wear need to be renovated or should be provided with a proctective strong material on the surface when produced. This technology takes care of this problem with surfaces exposed to wear - the state of the art is to replace the whole product instead of renovating only the surface which this technology enables. The Swedish SME working in the metal and process industry provides a unique technology to extend the lifecycle of exposed surfaces. The primary focus is metal products that are subject to wear. The SME can handle products weighing up to 60 000 kilos.

The technology could be used for producing new products with a longer lifecycle or renovating components used for producing existing products. The technology is using lasercoating/laser cladding and is applicable for all kind of exposed surfaces e.g. valves, rollers, shafts, bearings and sealing surfaces and will significantly extend their lifecycle compared to traditional material solutions. The SME has a number of references showing actual savings using this technology.

The SME would like to expand their market and through the different kinds of cooperations proposed explore the opportunities of service and product development together with a suitable partner. The cooperation may also contribute to enabling the partners to enter new market segments. The SME is interested in cooperation in terms of commercial agreement with technical assistance, as this would provide an opportunity to extend their market. Another cooperation type could be joint venture where both parties would increase their ability to extend their market. The SME is also interested in a manufacturing agreement that would enable them to increase their capability to meet new markets and provide new services. The cooperation is envisaged to start as soon as the SME has written a partner agreement with the desired partner, after which follows the process of planning a joint project with milestones and targets that ensure the quality of the partnership. This process is valid for all three cooperation types.
