A Dutch company is specialized in high-tech joining technologies like soldering and brazing for high demanding, ever changing environments. Soldering is a joining technique in which materials (metal or ceramic) are connected by melting the so-called solder. Solder is a material, usually a metal alloy, with a lower melting point than the connecting parts. While making these joints it is important that the material to be soldered and the requirements of the final product are taken into account. Important aspects are temperature resistance, strength, corrosion resistance and visual radiance.

Compared to other joining techniques soldering is a technique with a number of specific advantages like design freedom, good conduction between materials (electrical and thermal), high strength, good leak tightness, compositions with different materials, possibility to combine with other thermal processes. In the economic field soldering has also superior advantages when taking some trends in the electronics industries into account:
· Miniaturization (smaller products with more features).

· Weight reduction (thinner constructions with stronger materials).
