Description:
The Russian research and production center (limited liability company), engaged in the study and implementation of cryogenic treatment technology of the steel, which allows increasing the wear resistance of materials up to 300% by treatment at ultralow temperatures. At the moment cryo treatment process is not popular in Europe, because basically the technology has been developed in USA and all prodecers of cryo treatment equipment locate in USA. The main advantages of the Russian company (in comparison with American companies) is in-house developed cryo-processor. The company´s cryo treatment equipment is twice as cheap as american analogies. The structure of the hardened steel has a certain amount of soft retained austenite because of its chemical composition and heat treatment mode. This results in reduced hardness, durability, thermal conductivity and magnetic properties and increased toughness of the steel. Cryogenic method helps to improve the structure of the hardened steel, reduce the amount of austenite in its composition, improve the quality and durability of the products. In the cryogenic treatment, the structural and phase composition of the treated material changes due to low temperature exposure of liquid nitrogen (-196°c). The company is looking for partners to transfer technologies abroad. Application areas of this technology: metalworking and mechanical engineering, transport and special equipment, defense industry, audio equipment and music instruments, mining and manufacturing industries.
