Description:
A Korean R-Y-D institute specialised in the technology and researching on a solar battery. They are now looking for companies or research institutions who are interested in dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) textiles. The solar energy market has been increased continuously and it is predicted to be the most competitive energy source after 2020. There has been a limit of solar energy despite its great advantages: flexibility, material, or manufacturing process. The DSSC will be the third generation solar battery compensating the existing defects.

The research institute has developed dye-sensitized solar cell textile that is manufactured with glass fibre and metallic wires. It is available for heat treatment and reuse. It can also reduce the cost by a simple process without high-priced materials or manufacturing process. It can be sewed and cut out because it is soft and flexible like cloth. It is able to be produced in three types: attachment, insertion, and all-in-one weaving. It will be applied to wearable technology, military equipment, vehicles, mobile devices, or home supplies.

The institution is looking for companies that have proper distributing channels or work in the solar cell related field. They have interest in proceeding a license agreement of the technology with companies working in technology-applicable area or research institutions.
