French Research SME specialised in diabetes, aims at developing vectorization systems allowing oral administration of bioactive molecules, based on background acquired in the field of oral insulin (nano encapsulation). They would like to develop this approach, find new administration modes and applications. Description:
The objectives are to develop a universal delivery system for an easier drug (hydrophilic) / bioactive molecules (hydrophilic and hydrophobic) administration for patients as well as to guarantee the purity and the quality control of preparations.

They aim at developing vectorization systems. Initial studies on this technology are based on a (proprietary) double encapsulation system whose feasibility and efficiency has been validated for oral administration of insulin - (Vector developed for oral administration of at least one pharmacologically active substance that allows passage from the lumen of the intestines into the blood, optionally through interstitial fluid, without significant denaturation or degradation of the substance). It comprises an essentially hydrophilic matrix having an outer surface, which is modified by one or more chemical species that confer lipophilicity to the vector.

The private research organisation would like to extend this approach and find new administration modes for other health applications (such as antidiabetic drugs, heparin, bioactive molecules from food, etc.).
