Description:
Currently, when a prosthesis or a spinal jacket is required, a plaster cast is made in order to give shape to the prosthesis. Such method is cheap but the cast model is cumbersome and frequently requires 2 or more people to carry (in case of spinal jackets e.g.).

A Polish producer of rehabilitation equipment decided they needed another method of making prostheses and spinal jackets. They are looking for a technology allowing for 3D scanning of human body (scanner and software) and a CNC machining of models made of plastics or foams. Such method will speed up the process of prosthesis modelling, models will be more detailed than those made with the use of casts and will be much lighter.
