Summary:
The client, a Dutch SME, is looking for a low-tech technology to filter arsenic, fluoride and sinc from water. The technology should be scalable and modular. They want to apply the technology in an application to create safe drinking water in remote areas. The product should be ready to market. Cooperation should take form in a commercial agreement with technical assistance or a technical cooperation if further development is required.
Description:
A Dutch SME active in the drinking water technology is currently establishing projects for providing save drinking water in mainly South-East Asia and Africa. For those projects it is looking for a partner which has established (or can establish) a low tech technology to reliably filter arsenic, fluoride, sinc and other heavy metals from watersources such as lakes and rivers.

The application should be modulair and scalable and should be able to proces 1000-2000 liters of water per hour. Moreover, the technology should have a low energy consumption as energy will be mostly provided by solarpanels. Furthermore it should be low in maintenance and maintenance should be fairly easy.

The client has already established a system to filter harmful elements from water to provide safe drinking water and store the save drinking water. Currently the client is thus looking for above mentioned technology as the mentioned substances form an indirect threat to human health as they shorten the expected life span of people in those areas with up to 20 years. In order to increase the water quality (and thus the expected life span) it is looking for a partner who can deliver this technology.

The client is looking to apply the technology in its own products and is therefore looking to establish a commercial agreement with technical assistance. Preferably the partner organisation can provide a technology which is ready to market.

However, if the potential partner has the capacity and knowledge to develop such a technology, the client is willing to discuss a technical cooperation agreement in order to develop the technology together.

The client has identified a potential partner that measures and reports the level of arsenic, fluorids and sinc in the filtered water, i.e. to test the results of the drinking water purification process and reliably provide safe and clean drinking water.

Type and Role of Partner Sought:
The client is looking for an SME (<250) which can provide a technology to filter arsenic, flouride and sinc from water sources such as lakes and rivers. Partners which do not have the technology as such but do have the knowhow, capacity and resources to develop such a technology are invited to send in EoIs to as the client is willing to discuss collaboration to develop the required technology.

The partner is expected to deliver the technology/application for the various projects the client is currently developing and for future projects and provide technical assistance in applying the technology within the clients own products.

In case the partner has such an technology not directly available but has all the means to develop such a technology, technological cooperation can be discussed in further detail once a suitable parnter has been found.
