The project is based on already developed financial tool for evaluation of EEPs. Partners sought are EU banks and ?nergy Service Companies/Energy Savings Companies to test and validate all functionalities of the tool and provide feedback.
Description:
The project offers standardized, easy understandable, functional and user-friendly software, which financial institutions can use for evaluation and management of Energy Efficiency projects (EEP). It gives opportunity for effective combination between public and private funds for projects, which are not fully financially viable.

Currently the main obstacle confronting the realization of EEP is the financing. Banks are not actively participating in this business, because of their difficulty to understand this complex environment. The level of technical calculations and terminology is high and it is difficult and costly to evaluate risks, economic benefits, real effects and profit sources.
The project will tackle this challenge by providing customised software tool, tested and validated by its end-users.

The Project activities include:
- Enlargement the range and functionality of the tool
- Standardization of the tool for different types of participants, activities and types of buildings
- Development of the tool into a final and easy for operation product software
- Marketing, dissemination and roll-out of the final product.

The expected impact of the project would be:
- Facilitation and High efficiency of the Energy Efficiency projects evaluation
- Shortening the process of project evaluation
- Lower transaction costs - less staff, less time, less technical outsourcing.

The project consortium features:
- Developer of the concept and its functionality
- Technical Advisor in Energy Efficiency sector - will be engaged with the technical part of the project and standard
- Software developer
- ?nergy Service Companies/Energy Savings Companies (ESCO/ESCo) - for advising the functionality and testing the tool in their activities
- Bank(s) to test the tool and the software and provide valuable feedback
- Partners to be engaged with marketing and dissemination of the tool across EU.

The Bulgarian SME preparing the proposal is experienced in financial management of Energy Efficiency projects, while the partnering think-tank organisation works in the area of Energy Efficiency and innovation policies.

Partners sought to complement the consortium:
- Banks - to advise the Consortium for efficient realization of the project and its end-product - the evaluation tool
- ESCO/ESCo companies - to advise the Consortium for the most accurate and comprehensive Implementation of the Energy Performance Contract (EnPC) business model into the final product of this project.

Call deadline: 15 Sept 2016
EoI deadlines: 30 June 2016
Advantages and Innovations:
The project offers innovative approaches at EU level:
- Fast-track to full market potential for Energy Efficiency projects within EU Member states - increased flow of implemented projects, growth of the total volume of projects, use of market methods for evaluation, financing and realization of the projects.
- Stimulation of the development of the European financial infrastructure, engaged with ?nergy ?fficiency. Participation, under various forms, of mutual funds, including retirement and insurance ones, because they would find a potential for investment in new niches.
