Un grupo de investigación de un instituto letón está preparando un proyecto sobre el desarrollo de nuevas clases de oximas heterocíclicas no tóxicas como agentes reguladores del crecimiento de plantas, herbicidas y fungicidas. El objetivo es sintetizar los derivados de nuevas oximas heterocíclicas y explorar su uso potencial como fungicidas, herbicidas y reguladores del crecimiento de plantas. Se buscan socios interesados en implementar el proyecto. La colaboración también incluye síntesis de química fina. Los socios industriales y académicos buscados deben ofrecer competencias necesarias en el campo de desarrollo de nuevas medidas de protección de plantas.

The goal of the project idea is to synthesize the derivatives of novel hetero cyclic oxime and explore their potential use as fungicides, herbicides and plant growth regulators. Description:
The aim of the project idea is to synthesize the derivatives of novel hetero cyclic oxime and investigate their potential use as fungicides, herbicides and plant growth regulators.
Hetero cyclic compounds are widely investigated as biologically active substances. A wide range of oxime group containing compounds have been explored as plant protective agents (PPA). Plant PPA producers are interested in plant protection products, that could significantly increase sells and market share.
Therefore the development of new PPA is very significant for the agriculture sector.

A research group from the leading institute in Latvia is seeking for partnership for the implementation of this project idea. Collaboration may also include in fine organic synthesis. The industrial and academic partners are sought to supplement necessary competences in the field of the development of novel plant protective measure.
Advantages and Innovations:
The novelty of this project idea will consist of:
· The development of novel scientific direction of selective and effective plant protection agents for agriculture.
· Results of the project will indicate the potential impact the R-Y-D project may have, e.g. on society, on the market, on the environment and provide qualitative and quantitative arguments. The results will be published in international journals indexed in Web of Knowledge and Scopus databases.
