Una universidad checa ha desarrollado un sistema de monitorización, grabación y análisis de datos relacionados con el estado de salud de personas en el hogar. El sistema consiste en sensores portátiles, aplicación de software y smartphone. El dispositivo está equipado con un sensor de medición de glucosa para la monitorización continua de los niveles de glucosa en sangre. Se buscan centros de investigación interesados en continuar con el desarrollo (cooperación en materia de investigación), así como hospitales y proveedores de servicios sanitarios para probar el sistema y utilizarlo en ensayos clínicos (acuerdos de cooperación técnica).

A Czech university developed a system intended for long-term monitoring, recording and analysing data of the health state of individuals at home. The system consists of wearable sensors, smartphone and software application. Research organisations are sought for participation in further development (Research cooperation agreement); hospitals and other providers of health care services are sought for testing the system and for use in clinical trials (Technical cooperation agreement).
Description:
Leading experts from medical and technical colleges of the Czech university has joined experts from a Norwegian research centre involved in integrated care and telemedicine to develop an intelligent sensor network for automatic collecting and managing health data from individuals, either ill or healthy.
Health data, based on selected parameters are remotely collected and with proprietary algorithms used for supervision and interactions with monitored individuals.
Monitored individual is equipped with a wearable device for monitoring physical activity - smart watch that measures activity of a person and other input data and a smart mobile phone with application.
Offered system was primarily intended for self-management of patients with diabetes mellitus, type II. For patients with this disease it is important to control the level of sugar in the body. It is therefore necessary to control intake of sugar from food, carbohydrate burning, energy expenditure and monitoring current levels of sugar in the body. The device on offer is equipped with a continuous glucose meter sensor, for continuous monitoring of blood sugar in the blood. Such a solution makes it easy for drug dosing friendly and gives the physician a clearer picture of the patient´s state of health. Using this system allows user to better adapt the patient´s course of treatment.

- The innovative aspect of the whole solution is also effective activity classification. Application combines the basic sensors for blood pressure, heart rate, blood glucose levels, physical activity, weight, bio-impedance analysis etc.
