A German company from the machine tools sector has long-time experience in producing of environmentally friendly technologies. With help of more than 100 employees, many technical solutions can be realised.

Thermo-mechanical digestion of biogenous refuse:
The properties of peat make it most interesting to horticulture and landscaping, and re-cultivation of tips and mining areas. The peat substitute developed by this German SME is based on usage of renewable resources and offers an ecologically sensible alternative having most favourable properties for its professional use (horticulture, landscaping, and recultivation of mining areas). The space required for the plant is approx. 120m² plus storage room. The thermo-mechanical digestion of biogenous refuse takes place with the help of a machine system for defibration and compaction, after processing and sorting is finished. Operational data depending on the capacity are 4-16m³/h. The analytical data (in accordance with DIN 1154 for the assessment of peat) are speaking well for themselves. Simultaneously the material is mixed intensively. The added inert materials and the discharge material homogenise. The fibrous material consists of individual fibres, which are mainly 1 to 10 mm long, and fibre bundles the properties whereof are easily adjustable. It makes manifold utilisation possible.
Thermo-mechanical digestion of wood into wood fibres is a well-tried and successful system and gives the wood special properties thanks to which a wide range of qualitatively different products can be made. The input material is mechanically disintegrated in the process unit under high pressure, and the material thermal plasticity at temperatures between 130°-180° C. Under the influence of water, a "wet steam explosion effect" leads to defibration between pressure and relaxation zones.

The company seeks partners from the industry, especially manufacturer of earth, horticulture companies for further development of new products within a technical cooperation agreement.
Partners with interest in transfer the technology for testing of new applications for a commercial agreement with technical assistance are highly welcome.
In frame of a manufacturing agreement, a transfer involves know-how and expertise to make the client fit for its production.
