Description:
The French SME is part of a multidisciplinary project that goes from the laser/matter interaction to fluid mechanics. They are gathering a federation of skills, in partnership with the local University, in the field of Science and Surface engineering.

They built an industrial facility that includes:
· Femtosecond and nanosecond lasers
· Ultrafast 3D mechanical environment
· Laser Beam Melting coupled with ultra-short laser

They are looking for industrial SMEs partners to co-build with them new special machines using theses technologies (ultrashort laser, optical, control and process monitoring systems) customized regarding the partners industrial needs.

SMEs or research institutions partners could use such machines for surfaces texturing, new applications related to health, space, transport sectors, etc. The cooperation could also explore new properties in the fields of optics or tribology...

The French SME would like to cooperate under research cooperation or technical cooperation agreement. They are very interested in participating the H2020 NMBP calls, especially those concerning advanced manufacturing and processing.

Use of laser machining allows :
· texture surfaces in 4 different mechanical environments with ultrafast lasers including robot arms. Different lasers are used : 6 femtosecond lasers (from 20W to 100W), 1 nanosecond laser
· laser beam melting machining coupled with femtosecond lasers
· improved characterization : multiscale multifunctional (morphological, physicochemical and rheological/tribological), focus ion beam (TEM, cross-sections, STEM, 3D image reconstruction, chemical analysis, crystallographic orientation)
